QUESTION: If the understory in a forest is not available, will the Carolina Wren live in the middle/upper story or leave that section and move to a different area where the understory is available.
HYPOTHESIS: The majority of Carolina Wrens in the area will move to the nearest space where the understory is available.
PROCEDURE:
step 1: Test area and record the approximate population of Carolina Wren in the area
step 2: Apply a net throughout the understory(approximately 8 feet above ground) of the forest for one mile.
step 3: Wait one week
step 4: Record approximately how many(if any) Carolina Wren remain in the area
step 5: Compare data.
